Amanda
Topaz has been a professional freelance trapeze artist for the last thirteen
years. With a background in classic ballet, she studied for years with the
x-Big Apple Circus trainer Irena Gold, as well as x-Big Apple Circus trapeze
artist Elena Panova, and x-Antigravity silk artist Tatiana Petruk. There have
been many clients over the years including: Crobar NYC, Armani Exchange, Cirque
de Soleil (Alegria afterparty NYC), Gen Art, Playstation, New York Knicks,
Marc Jacobs and Puff Daddy to name a few.
In an effort to instill confidence and elevate spirits through mastery of aerial skills, over the last eight years she has worked with hearing impaired children and recovering cancer patients, teaching Trapeze, Spanish web and Tight Wire to kids at various camps.
In Sept 2003 she became Pilates mat certified, and in October 2005 received full Pilates machine certification from the Kane institute of Core Integration, NYC. Also a trainer at Equinox, she has gone through their Foundations Kinesiology program designed by Dr. Paul Juris and has since gotten certifications or national C.E.C's in the following:
